Kevin Durant struggles with efficiency, while Warriors lack intensity in loss to Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS – Usually the shots sail into the net anytime Kevin Durant shoots the ball. This time, those shots mostly clanked off the rim.

In the Warriors’ 121-106 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, Durant lacked the same steady presence he has offered all season, including during the team’s two-week long absence from Stephen Curry. Instead of leading the Warriors with scoring and efficiency, Durant still led the team in scoring (27) without much shooting accuracy from the field (8-of-23) or from 3-point range (2-of-10).

Granted, the Warriors (57-22) did not just lose to the Pacers (46-32) because of Durant.
