Kevin Durant out at least four weeks with Grade 2 MCL sprain, tibial bone bruise

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Considering the hyperextension, the concerning limp and the early predictions, Wednesday morning’s MRI seemed to deliver the Warriors good news about Kevin Durant’s left knee.

The Warriors star forward suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a tibial bone bruise, the team announced. Durant will be re-evaluated in four weeks, which doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll return in four weeks, but his season doesn’t appear to be over.

The NBA playoffs begin in six weeks. The Western Conference Finals are about 10 weeks away, should the Warriors make it.
