Kevin Durant lifts Warriors to 113-103 win over Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Reminders of the hometown hero dotted a capacity Spectrum Center crowd of 19,639 on Wednesday night: No. 30 Warriors jerseys, signs begging the two-time NBA MVP to sign with the Hornets.

But in a game marked by Stephen Curry’s homecoming, his chief sidekick delivered the game-changing performance. Kevin Durant poured in 16 of his game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter to lift Golden State to a 113-103 win over Charlotte.

To extend their NBA-record streak without back-to-back regular-season losses to 132 outings, the Warriors closed the game on a 26-11 run.
