OAKLAND – Practice ended nearly an hour ago. Through Thursday afternoon, however, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson kept working.
This time, the routine did not entail squeezing in extra shots. Instead, both Durant and Thompson reported to the weight room for a workout. They then went to the trainer’s room for treatment. And then they emerged separately to address how they are trying to delay Father Time from approaching.
“It feels like I’m 18 years in or at my last camp,” Durant joked, “with y’all asking me about my age.”
Reporters asked Durant about his age because he will turn 30 on Saturday, which coincides with the Warriors’ preseason opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Oracle Arena.
