There wasn’t a dull moment in the day for Kevin Durant.
On Thursday, he found out he was selected by LeBron James as the first overall pick in the All-Star game, he got a $15,000 fine for criticizing a referee earlier in the week, and then he had a triple-double in the Warriors’ 126-113 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“Life could be much worse,” Durant said. “It was definitely a fun day. I was looking forward to seeing who was going to be on the All-Star teams, and I was looking forward to seeing what my fine was going to be and, most importantly, I was looking forward to playing tonight.
