Kevin Durant becomes 44th NBA player to score 20,000 career points

OAKLAND – With a cross over and a 22-foot jump shot, Warriors guard Kevin Durant became the 44th player in NBA history to score 20,000 career points.

Durant has spent this season steadily moving up on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, surpassing both former Warriors forward Bernard King and former Jazz guard John Stockton. Durant also is close toward surpassing former Warriors forward Antawn Jamison, who ranks 43rd on the list with 20,0042 career points. Though the milestone has to be taken into account for former NBA players entering the league at a later age, Durant became the second-youngest player behind LeBron James to achieve the feat.
