Kevin Durant made his way onto the court at the end of Thursday morning’s Warriors shootaround. He moved slowly and tossed up a few casual shots as he chatted with assistant coach Bruce Fraser and then teammate Stephen Curry.
Durant is not close to returning from his sprained left knee, so the Warriors have no choice but to plow ahead without him. That’s a work in progress, clearly: Golden State is 3-5 since Durant sprained his left knee Feb. 28, heading into Thursday night’s home game against Orlando.
“It’s easy to say he wasn’t here the last two years and we won all those games,” head coach Steve Kerr said before the game.
