Warriors general manager Bob Myers said Saturday that Luke Walton would begin the season as interim head coach.
Myers said that Steve Kerr, who has missed almost all of training camp while recovering from two offseason back operations, is improving but not ready to return.Walton had said earlier in the week that he was "absolutely" preparing as if he will be the coach Tuesday for the Warriors' regular-season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena.Check back for more on this breaking story.
