The reigning champion Golden State Warriors reportedly added more backcourt depth Thursday by signing former West Virginia standout point guard Juwan Staten to a one-year contract.
Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports reports the deal was confirmed by the guard's agent, Colin Bryant. Other terms of the agreement were not immediately released.
Staten started his collegiate career at Dayton before moving to West Virginia after one season. He proceeded to average 13.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds across 94 games with the Mountaineers.
After going undrafted back in June, he linked up with the Sacramento Kings for the Las Vegas Summer League.
