1. Most important is that the W’s be themselves.
2. Use the emotion, yes. But don’t over-manufacture it. You must also be clinical.
3. And “being yourself” means ball movement, poise, and tied-together defense.
4. Help Steph and Klay. Don’t simply hand them the ball, sit back, and pray that they’ll (alone) save you.
5. Yes, others must score. Someone else must bust the occasional must-have 3. But while it would be nice to anoint in advance some mythical 3rd scorer (ie Cousins), what’s key is the whole contributing.
6. That is, good screens, slip-screens (and other counters), back-screens, motion, timely aggressive offensive rebounds, defense that leads to run-outs…that’s the system-wide methodology for creating opportune scoring from others.
