On Wednesday, Golden State Warriors wing and lifelong Bay Area resident Juan Toscano-Anderson organized Walking in Unity, a peaceful and powerful protest in Oakland.
The protest drew a large number of Bay Area residents who are outraged at the senseless killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many other Black citizens, and outraged at the systematic racism and institutional injustice that is prevalent across the country.
Among the many peaceful protestors were at least four of Toscano-Anderson’s teammates: Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevon Looney, and Damion Lee.
