LIVERMORE — John Madden marveled Wednesday at not just how the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers annually collide in the NBA Finals but the way Steve Kerr coaches the Warriors.
Madden hasn’t met Kerr and is a fan from afar. On Wednesday, before Game 3, the man who coached the Raiders to their first Super Bowl title ushered praise on the man who’s trying to deliver Golden State its first back-to-back NBA championships.
“You’re always trying to get guys to play fast. But getting them ready to play fast is another thing,” Madden said. “That’s where Kerr does a great job, getting them ready to play fast.
