LAS VEGAS – He soared into the air and seemingly defied gravity. Then once Warriors forward Kevon Looney came down, he punctuated the play with a breathtaking dunk over former teammate JaVale McGee.
Warriors fans cheered, while Lakers fans gasped. The Warriors’ bench smiled, clapped and roared. And Warriors forward Kevin Durant stood up from the baseline and began shouting both toward Looney and McGee.
What impressed Durant about that dunk during the third quarter of the Warriors’ 123-113 pre-season loss to the Lakers on Wednesday?
“That it was on JaVale,” Durant said with a grin.
