James Wiseman leaves Saturday’s game after awkward fall

Rookie James Wiseman took a hard fall in the second quarter of Saturday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets, and left the game.

Early in the quarter, the No. 2 overall pick took a pocket pass from Jordan Poole, and exploded to the rim, cocking back to attempt a violent dunk. But he was met by Kenyon Martin Jr., who blocked the shot cleanly. Wiseman was moving quickly and forcefully enough that having his momentum stopped by Martin resulted in his body contorting, and he took a nasty spill.

Wiseman immediately jumped to his feet, but was holding his knee and clearly in a lot of discomfort.
