Second-year guard Jacob Evans III is expected to return to the court on Monday, when the Golden State Warriors host the Memphis Grizzlies.
On Thursday, the Warriors upgraded Evans’ injury status to “questionable” for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Not surprisingly, they’re opting to give him a few extra days of recovery.
There’s certainly no reason for the Warriors to rush Evans back. At just 4-19, the team isn’t exactly playing for wins. And with D’Angelo Russell, Kevon Looney, and Draymond Green finally healthy again, the team is no longer hurting for players; even without Evans, they’ll have 11 players available in Chicago.
