Once again, Jacob Evans III is headed to Santa Cruz. On Thursday the Golden State Warriors announced that Evans, the 28th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, was assigned to the G League.
Evans has struggled to find his footing at the pro level, so the team has bounced him between Oakland (where he’s provided depth and garbage time opportunities) and Santa Cruz (where he’s able to develop further).
The 21-year old wing played more than five minutes during the Warriors blowout victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday, and totaled 2 points and 1 rebound on 1-1 shooting.
