OAKLAND — Warriors guard Quinn Cook, who has known Kevin Durant since their days growing up together in Washington D.C., said his friend will come back “10 times better” from his Achilles tendon injury.
But Cook said outsiders don’t understand the impact this has on Durant, who will miss what remains of the NBA Finals and will be sidelined deep into next season after undergoing surgery.
“Who wouldn’t it be tough on?” said Cook, 26, who has known Durant since he was a 7-year-old, tagging along with the bigger kids. “We’re humans. This is our livelihood.
