Jimmy Butler’s return to Miami as a member of the Golden State Warriors was never going to be a sentimental affair, and that reality was made clear on Monday while he spoke with reporters.
Butler showed little interest in the prospect of being honored with a tribute video during Tuesday’s game against the Heat. The 35-year-old spent 5.5 seasons in Miami, took the team to two finals appearances and earned two All-Star selections during his time there.
“Will I watch?” Butler said. “Yeah, I’ll watch, if they have one. If they don’t, it makes no difference.
