Monday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards was supposed to be the celebrated return of Draymond Green, as well as the first time he shared the court in earnest with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson since the 2019 NBA Finals. But the comeback ended up sharing space with Green’s postgame press conference as the most interesting thing about the 126-112 win.
Green began with a simple declaration: “I’m not gonna give much in this interview, I’m just gonna let y’all know that now.” He then spoke about his understanding of the relationship between media and players, then said a quick line about integrity before getting to the first indication of why he’s doing his presser this way.
