OAKLAND — The highlight reels often show Stephen Curry sinking a 3-pointer from at least 30 feet away from the basket. Or Klay Thompson draining a corner 3-pointer after holding the ball for only a second.
Those plays might capture why Curry and Thompson are nicknamed the “Splash Brothers.” But even if the Warriors arguably have the best shooting backcourt ever, those plays do not define the team’s mission statement.
“It’s hard to tell where the game is going,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
