OAKLAND — The Warriors entered the season seemingly invincible with an All-Star cast, sharp shooting, defensive intensity and bench depth. In the last week, though, the Warriors are showing serious cracks in their championship foundation.
The Warriors finished with a 98-93 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday at Oracle Arena, and the reasons seemed obvious.
The Warriors sidelined All-Star forward Kevin Durant for at least the next two weeks after an MRI showed an incomplete rib cartilage fracture. Durant, who will miss at least the next six games, joins a crowded trainer’s room that currently includes All-Star guards Stephen Curry (right ankle) and Klay Thompson (right thumb).
