The Golden State Warriors almost traded two-time MVP Stephen Curry back in 2012, just a few years after the point guard had entered the league.
However, their medical team wasn’t keen on the numerous ankle injuries Curry had at that point in time. While they’ve certainly been an issue over the course of the last decade, Curry has fought through them and continues to come out on top.
That trade could’ve ended the Warriors’ dynasty before it had even begun. Apparently, the deal was on the table, but Curry’s injuries concerns made the Bucks back out.
“I don’t know if they can be light years ahead if they traded Stephen Curry to the Bucks for Andrew Bogut,” Lasry told Frank Isola of The Atheltic.
