Iguodala wonders where the short offseason went: ‘We have a game Saturday’

OAKLAND — Motivation to build on three championships in four years will be a challenge for the Warriors as a whole. But it could be particularly tough for veteran Andre Iguodala, who begins his 15th NBA season still feeling the effects of the 14th.

“We have a game Saturday, which is crazy to think about,” Iguodala said Monday. “It seems like we just ended the season yesterday.”

It’s a prospect that makes you wonder what keeps him going. Iguodala, who will turn 35 in January, doesn’t have much left to accomplish in his NBA career beyond fulfilling the final two seasons of a three-year $48 million contract that many believe was a reward for what he had done as much as what he could still do.
