If the Warriors play the Spurs next, Tony Parker won’t be a factor

u200bThe Warriors road out of Western Conference got easier Wednesday when Tony Parker hurt his left leg.

The Spurs point guard reportedly ruptured a tendon in his left quadriceps and will miss the rest of the playoffs, the team announced Thursday, rendering a different landscape in the 2017 postseason.

Parker, 34, is a four-time NBA champion and longtime leader for San Antonio — which many believed could be Golden State’s final hurdle for a third-straight Finals appearance.

It could be said that Parker didn’t have the same regular season numbers as in the past (even per 36 minutes, since he played fewer than previous years).
