OAKLAND — Hours after Wednesday’s 144-122 win over the Wizards, Warriors’ assistant coach Chris DeMarco walked past Jordan Bell and offered a brief message.
“Good job, Jordan,” DeMarco said. “Way to play tonight.”
Such messages have been few and far between for Bell this season. In five games, he’s fallen to third in the center rotation, doing more jumping from his spot on the bench than for alley-oop finishes. Over the summer, he worked hours trying to expand his individual game, shooting thousands of jump shots, hoping to prove his rollercoaster rookie year was a thing of the past.
