Ronnie Reyes is a Fremont resident and lifelong fan of the Golden State Warriors. He also might be the owner of the most valuable toaster in sports history.
Back in 2017, Reyes brought a black toaster with a Warriors logo on it to a fan event and handed it to Klay Thompson for a signature. Thompson obliged, but his reaction — as displayed in the hilarious close-up of Thompson’s face that Reyes included in his wildly popular Reddit post about the interaction — made Reyes an online sensation, and added to Thompson’s legend as the beloved free spirit whose sailing and dog-owning antics gained him as much fame as his ice-cold jumper.
