Putting the Warriors’ season into historical context can be difficult, because, well, no one has ever done what they’re doing.
The Warriors have a chance to go undefeated at home, something that’s has not been accomplished in the NBA, and they need to go at least 5-2 in their final seven games to break the league’s single-season wins mark.
“It’s like a magical season,” ESPN analyst Hubie Brown said. “They’re the darlings of the league, and they’re like the Beatles traveling across the country. Everyone wants to see them, and anyone with limited basketball knowledge still knows that they should watch Golden State on TV.
