NEW YORK – Jesse Hahn became the 15th A’s player and sixth starting pitcher to land on the disabled list Saturday morning when Oakland made room for Saturday starting pitcher Jharel Cotton by putting Hahn on the 10-day DL.
He hasn’t pitched since Tuesday, when he came out of a start against Florida in the third inning with what the team described as a right triceps strain.
“Jesse’s MRI was clear,” manager Bob Melvin said. “It’s a matter of giving it some time and making sure he’s 100 percent when he comes back.”
Melvin said the hope is that Hahn would not be on the DL longer than the 10-day minimum.
