Tony Allen wasn’t sleep-walking. It just looked that way. Regardless, he received one of the loudest wake-up calls of his life.
From nearly 20,000 Warriors fans.
“I expect that. We’re the away team,” Allen said after his Grizzlies lost Sunday’s second-round playoff opener 101-86. “They shouldn’t like any of us.”
Allen received most of the fans’ attention - which wasn’t necessarily a good thing - for what he did 3 ½ minutes before halftime. After a timeout, Allen walked from the Grizzlies’ bench onto the middle of the court, right through a kids’ dance routine.
