Well, folks, there’s good news and there’s bad news.
The good news is that it looks like Steve Kerr will still be coaching the Golden State Warriors next season, and for the years to follow.
The bad news is that it’s because he won’t be running for office in 2020.
Despite the long-running calls for the popular head coach to form a ticket with San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, there will be no Pop/Kerr 2020. Instead, Kerr is apparently advocating for Popovich to slide into the vice president role alongside potential presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke.
