OAKLAND — Want a chance to watch the Golden State Warriors from a city-owned suite and donate to a good cause?
You’re in luck, if you have the money, and are the lucky winner. Mayor Libby Schaaf is auctioning off a pair of tickets to Tuesday’s Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs to benefit the victims of the deadly March 27 San Pablo Avenue apartment fire. The blaze displaced an estimated 100 people, many West Oakland natives, who are now looking for permanent housing.
A donation of $100 or more to the victim fund increases the chances of winning the two tickets, valued at $5,000 a piece, according to the organization running the auction, posted on the mayor’s Facebook page.
