After perhaps the most action-packed opening day of NBA free agency in recent memory in which several high-profile signings were announced almost immediately, the Golden State Warriors, who had already worked through the night to secure D’Angelo Russell, were forced to wait a day before being able to re-sign center Kevon Looney.
Many around the league speculated that the blockbuster sign-and-trade deal that sent Kevin Durant to Brooklyn in exchange for D-Lo would prevent the Warriors from making any more meaningful roster additions. The trade in itself has already forced Andre Iguodala out of the Bay.
