Following a convincing 121-103 home win over the Dallas Mavericks last Thursday, the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors were victorious Saturday evening at Oracle Arena, defeating the visiting San Antonio Spurs 122-105.
The Spurs opened the game with an inspired 37-27 first quarter, but the Dubs went right back at them to win the second 31-18. Golden State created even more separation with a 33-20 third quarter, trading baskets with the Spurs for all of the fourth.
The Golden State Warriors now hold a regular season win/loss record of 43-13. They’ll look to extend their current win streak to three consecutive contests when the Phoenix Suns (18-38) make their way to Oakland on Monday.
