While many don’t foresee the Golden State Warriors dealing D’Angelo Russell, his market is apparently still hot. The star point guard is a mere 23 years old and is currently under contract for the next three seasons.
If you give him high-quality shooters and solid perimeter defenders to mask his weaknesses, Russell’s proven that he can elevate a team to a playoff level. He did so last season as the Brooklyn Nets main offensive playmaker.
Now 5-24, the Warriors season is all but over as far as playoff aspirations are concerned. That said, they’ll soon take their focus towards next season with the trade deadline nearing in the next few weeks.
