The Golden State Warriors have themselves a new big man; with the 30th pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, the World Champions selected forward Kevon Looney out of UCLA.
Looney, a 19-year-old freshman, averaged 11.6 points and 9.2 rebounds in 36 games last season for the Bruins. By virtue, he is a stellar shooter, knocking down shots from three-point range at a 41.5 percent clip. He also finished second in rebounding in the Pac-12.
“He can make an open three-point shot, but his value comes as a rebounder and interior defender,” said Jay Bilas on ESPN’s telecast.
