“Mo Buckets” is back for “mo.”
The Golden State Warriors picked up their team option on the final year of Marreese Speights‘ contract, worth $3.8 million.
Speights signed a three-year deal worth nearly $11 million prior to the 2013-2014 season, and arguably had his best season of his career in 2014-2015. He averaged 10.4 points and 4.3 rebounds a game coming off the bench, providing instant offense with his ability to knock down jump shots and create for himself.
The 27-year-old had low expectations heading into last season after a disappointing campaign in his first year with the team.
