Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob mocks LA Lakers, marvels at own genius after Dubs beat Nuggets in Game 2

The Golden State Warriors are clicking at the right time. It's early in the 2022 NBA playoffs, but so far, they look like legitimate title contenders, with two blowout wins against the overmatched Denver Nuggets.

Enter majority owner Joe Lacob, who always reappears for interviews when his team is firing on all cylinders. Lacob loves to bask in his own glory, and he also loves taking potshots at other franchises. Unsurprisingly, he offered up some red meat on both subjects as he exited the court during a brief catchup with The Athletic's Tim Kawakami.

From The Athletic: "Everyone who questioned whether our fans are going to show up in the playoffs, you can make your own judgment about that," Lacob said of the attendance rate at Chase Center in San Francisco, where ticket prices for this first-round series reportedly dwarf the second-highest prices in the NBA by almost $300 a pop.
