It was better than a 29-point opening-night home drubbing, but the Golden State Warriors' 122-114 win over the New Orleans Pelicans left the NBA championship favorites with plenty of room for improvement.
Golden State will score plenty of points wherever and however it plays, as it did at at the Smoothie King Center on Friday. Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson each had at least 23 points, with Durant topping out at 30 with 17 rebounds and six assists. Draymond Green sniffed around triple-double territory, too, at eight points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.
