Golden State Warriors' Jordan Poole explains badly missed final shot in loss to Suns

If your initial reaction to Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole's half-court shot in the final seconds of Wednesday night's 107-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns was, "Why the heck did he shoot that?" and after processing it for a second, your subsequent intuition was, "Oh, he probably thought he'd get fouled," your intuition was correct.

When speaking to reporters after the game, Poole said that with his team trailing by three with only five seconds left, he launched the would-be tying shot out of fear that one of Phoenix's Devin Booker or Jae Crowder would foul him and send him to the free-throw line.
