The 2019 NBA offseason has been a brutal one for the Golden State Warriors. Opening up with the devastating news that the two-time Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, would be leaving the franchise to join the Brooklyn Nets.
To no one’s surprise, this news left the Warriors feeling dismantled. With KD gone and Klay Thompson injured, there wasn’t much reason for optimism this summer. At this point, I wouldn’t blame anyone who was doubting the Dubs.
Since then, the Warriors front office has been working hard to get this team back on track. Key signings such as Alec Burks, Willie Cauley-Stein and Glenn Robinson III has opened up the path to this team being competitive again.
