Living in the East Bay, it was difficult not growing up a fan of the Golden State Warriors.
I grew up in a sports family. Warriors tickets were dirt cheap. You got free Jack in a Box tacos whenever you went because it was almost guaranteed every night that the Warriors would score at least 100 points. And back when everyone I knew still referred to Oracle Arena as “The Coliseum,” I was one of the lucky little kids to play on the court and tour the locker rooms.
