The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors resumed their three-game road trip on Wednesday at the Capital One Arena, defeating the Washington Wizards 109-101.
The Dubs looked much more engaged against the Wizards than they did against the New York Knicks on Monday at Madison Square Garden, finishing the first quarter 36-21. Unfortunately, they took their foot off the peddle in the second, allowing the Wizards to come within two by halftime.
As expected, the Warriors had a dominant third quarter, scoring 27 points while holding Washington to just 14. The Wizards answered with a 27-20 fourth quarter, but it just wasn’t enough to pull off the successful comeback.
