Just two hours before the NBA trade deadline, ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Golden State Warriors traded D’Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans, and Omari Spellman to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In return, the Warriors will receive forward Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 top-3 protected first-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick.
Wiggins has struggled to fulfill the expectations he came into the NBA with, but has been a very solid scorer throughout his career, averaging 20+ points in three out of his six seasons.
