The Golden State Warriors will get to see their wonderboy Stephen Curry on the court for what will be a highly anticipated season opener home against Oklahoma City. Curry and Cousins avoided suspension for being on the court during a scuffle during a preseason brawl.
While it might not matter for Cousins, it’d be a real downer if Curry was suspended in such a game for a preseason act. However, per Yahoo’s Chris Haynes, Curry and Cousins will not be suspended.
Haynes said this regarding the league’s typical actions surrounding a situation like this.
The league tries to grant leniency in most cases when it’s a dead-ball situation as players on the bench usually step on the court to congratulate or communicate with their teammates.
