Jason Collins, who in 2013 became the NBA's first openly gay player, and his twin brother Jarron Collins, a Golden State Warriors assistant coach, addressed the Democratic National Convention Monday to back Hillary Clinton and talk a little trash at Donald Trump.
The brothers, who starred at Stanford while Chelsea Clinton attended the university, are no strangers to the Clinton family.
Jason Collins said he informed them of his sexuality before he declared it to the world. "I knew that they would accept me for who I was, and that they would help pave a path for others to do the same," he said.
