The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors surprisingly waived 6-foot-10 forward Chris Boucher on Friday, opening up the team’s second two-way contract spot.
Boucher played 20 games with the organization’s G League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors on per game averages of 11.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 22.2 minutes. He shot 46.9 percent from the field, 22.0 percent from behind the arc (50 attempts) and 61.8 percent from the free throw line.
In addition, Boucher appeared in a single game with Golden State, recording one rebound in 1.3 minutes vs. the Los Angeles Lakers.
