In bringing Durant to play alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the Warriors had to let go of some key pieces. They had no choice but to let Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli walk. Those two were solid pieces in what Golden State did, especially on the defensive end.
The Warriors signed Zaza Pachulia, which is a solid pickup. But he’s nowhere near the rim protector or rebounder that those other two are.
