At the end of the day, it’ll honestly come down to a race between the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors for the league’s worst team. But, given the new lottery setup, it may not matter that much.
After all, the Pelicans weren’t a top-three team in terms of top overall selection probability last season but they were the ones to come out with Zion Williamson. That said, you can’t necessarily count on being bad to land you the top overall pick.
However, the Warriors haven’t been tanking for the pick.
They are, sadly, just that bad this season with many of their crucial stars players having been sidelined the bulk of the season.
