When it comes to Bay Area excellence in the 2010s, it’s impossible not to mention the Golden State Warriors.
The team came from humble beginnings at the turn of the decade — rolling out a squad at the crossroads of Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis, led by Keith Smart long before the days of Steve Kerr.
Things, of course, quickly came together for Golden State. Excellent drafting, fortunate circumstance, and execution during free agency allowed the team to elevate their game year after year.
This decade might be the most impressive decade in modern basketball, altogether.
