In the Golden State Warriors 26-point Christmas Day loss, they looked like a ghost of the team that’s won back-to-back NBA Finals. For the first time, it’s clear that the team might have issues. Their bench couldn’t make plays, and their stars could hit shots.
On several occasions, the Lakers would double Durant or Curry as soon as they got the ball. They’d then get rid of the ball, typically passing it to Iguodala or Green back at the top of the key. That was the game plan for the Lakers defensively. They didn’t let Durant and Curry find a rhythm.
